Debt Collection Harassment Log

Keep a clear record of every collector call, text, and letter. A dated log is powerful evidence if a collector breaks the law. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.

Please read: This is a free organizing tool — general information, not legal advice. Under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA, 15 U.S.C. §§ 1692c and 1692d), third-party collectors generally may not call before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m., contact you at work after you’ve told them to stop, or use threats, obscene language, or repeated calls meant to annoy or harass. Log each contact right after it happens, and keep any voicemails or texts.
