Who Are We?

We are ordinary people who believe in extraordinary principles — that freedom is not granted by institutions, but claimed and exercised by individuals. We are workers, students, veterans, parents, neighbors, and citizens from every background. We come from different walks of life, but we share a simple, powerful belief: that the rights enshrined in our Constitution are not abstract ideas or ceremonial relics. They are living tools meant to be used. And if we fail to use them, we risk losing them.

“We” is not some distant organization or anonymous institution. “We” means you. It means anyone who believes that liberty is sacred, that the law must serve the people, and that power must be held in check. We believe the most patriotic act is to be informed and intentional about how you interact with authority. Not to avoid the law, but to uphold it. Not to disrespect police, but to understand the boundaries of their power. This is what it means to live in a free society.

Why Decentralization Matters

This project is not centralized. That is by design. No single person or group should hold the keys to a movement that belongs to everyone. Observed.org is a tool, not a throne. The information here is free. The pledge is open. The actions are yours to take. Decentralization protects the mission. It prevents co-optation. It ensures that no matter who comes for the messenger, the message survives.

A Threat to Those Who Fear Accountability

Let’s be honest. This project makes some people nervous. There are those who view any attempt to limit government power as dangerous or subversive. But we reject that framing. What is truly dangerous is unchecked authority, unchallenged power, and a population too afraid or uninformed to assert its rights.
